Joel Fuhrman, M.D. is a board-certified family physician, seven-time New York Times best-selling author and internationally recognized expert on nutrition and natural healing. He specializes in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional methods. Dr. Fuhrman is the President of the Nutritional Research Foundation and on the faculty of Northern Arizona University, Health Sciences division. I ate just and only fat (lard) for four days and my blood glucose after that was 2.9.
The integration of b-roll footage adds depth to the storytelling. It's a visual layer that enhances the overall narrative.
Not detox. It's electrolyte and blood glucose changes that your body isn't adapted to. And sure you can "rip the band-aid off" but if you relapse, do you want to feel like crap every time you get back on the wagon for three days? Ease in, be sustainable, add more salt.

Hello Dr. F. i'm a really good nutritarian. I follow you 💯% . For the last 2 years, my fasting blood sugar has gone from 84-85 to 97-105 and my A1c 3 months ago was 5.7, which has always been 5.4-5.5.5, m y A1c is now 5.8. My Dr doesn't know how to help me as she's amazed at how healthy I eat. My fasting insulin is 5. I'm at a loss as what to do, any ideas for me? Thank you
Sleep. Low caffeine. Make sure you get enough B12. Avoid sunburn. Stop eating before 8 PM. Those are the types of things that affect things after diet.
Oh, and after those, try Amla capsules. In studies, amla normalizes fasting blood sugar from diabetic to non-diabetic in 3 weeks.
(There are studies related to each of those topics. I am not just speaking off the top of my head. I had to bring my blood sugar levels down from spiking at 400 and food did most of it but things like not supplementing enough B12 and not sleeping at night and eating late at night all mess with your A1c)

@@longevitycoach1573 Same as me, but my blood markers are all in normal range, total cholesterol 115 mg/dl, LDL 48 mg/dl, HDL 64 mg/dl, TRIGs 52. Kidney markers are all normal again, oh yeah, I feel good too. I think you are at risk for an early death but you will look good and feel good until you don't. That is what happened to me. If you ever get blood work done I would love to see a 7 year keto practitioners blood work. Good luck!
@@longevitycoach1573I would say the most profound comment I ever read on Dr. Anthony Chaffee's channel was from a guy who said he said he was a strict orthorexic 15-year Carnivore... and then he started having major electrolyte imbalances and it took him a couple of years to get better. He particularly mentioned that he had the dark sunken carnivore when he was sick thar Chaffee is starting to get and that Kelly Hogan and Rick Rodriguez have. So, having electrolyte problems, or something else, can happen at any time. To say you're going to live off meat and nothing else for the rest of your life is just unbelievable. It's not a sustainable diet for most people long-term... If only from boredom alone.

I do not eat a thing until lunch time or after. I mean no calories. If I were to have anything other than water it would either be black coffee or plain tea. No calories don't want my body to start working until I'm eating a full meal and I do that at lunch time or beyond

Nuts and fruit is a bad combination. Read Food Combining Make Ease by Dr Shelton. Eat the fruit for breakfast. How much for one month? One million dollars?

I eat Dr. Fuhrman 5 to 6 days a week. One day I do eat sardines. Just eat real foods and avoid sugar and processed food.

I loved going to this retreat. So true what he's saying on so many levels. I wish I could have stayed longer than a month. I got off track, but getting together with one of the other participants in 2 days. Also made another great relationship with another participant. I got off of 3 medicines: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. In less than 3 weeks, my blood pressure was down to 107/80. Sometimes, the numbers were even better. I know this way of eating is beneficial in so many levels! Thanks, Dr. Fuhrman for all your info!

Salad fruit and soup sound like total crap. I can see this guy is a "calories in and calories out" totally wrong message. IT DOES NOT WORK
his message is that it is prudent to eat a hormonally favorable diet that is nutrient dense and nutritionally complete <- very controversial😮
It may not work for those who eat a lot but it works to drop weight & keep it off. Increasing salads leads to weight loss. Fiber, fiber, fiber.

Heartbreaking
I cook my own food at home. When i put LoSalt (made with mostly potassium chloride) into my food it doesn't make me hungrier. Nor does the olive oil, but sweeteners do make me hungrier. That's why i stopped buying protein bars because the sweeteners are too sweet, therefore make me hungrier. Now i feed my sweet tooth with berries, specifically organic blueberries. By the way, i went from 190 to 130 eating olive oil with my fish.
I have been on carnivore for 5 years have reversed 3 major colon issues, done gone!!!
